GetVidya Discussion Forum
An Internet forum is a web application for holding discussions
and posting user generated content. Internet forums are also commonly referred
to as web forums, message boards, discussion boards, (electronic) discussion
groups, discussion forums, bulletin boards or simply forums. The terms
"forum" and "board" may refer to the entire community or to
a specific sub-forum dealing with a distinct topic. Messages within these
sub-forums are then displayed either in chronological order or as threaded
discussions.
It is similar to yahoo chat where your conversation is not
private, it can be viewed by all members and they can reply to your message. In
a nutshell it is a open discussion place where all can
interact
How to use GetVidya Forum ?
Every forum has different boards in which the entire content is posted. By doing this the forum becomes more organised and user friendly. Like in GetVidya we have All Discussions under one roof & Informals. Further each board is divided into number of sections as is shown in the figure below
.
For example Rules and Regulations
is one section, Announcements is another section and so
on so forth.
Each section is used for a particular type of problems/discussion and that is
mentioned right against the title of the section in small black font.
Moderator is the person who can edit posts if there is any
mistake in message or it has some irrelevant material.
Once you go in your desired sub forum you’ll find posts like
shown in figure below.
You can start a new topic for asking your doubts. It is highly likely that the problem you want to post has already been asked by some member in the past so it is recommenned to use the search option (given at the top of the page) before you post a question. You can click on the topic to see its content and you can also post a reply by using reply button shown in figure below
By clicking on reply it will open a new window and it is
same as you get when you compose an e-mail using your favourite mail client and
default browser :) A typical look is shown below
By click on additional options you will get some additional
option that you can use for uploading files. Have a look below
Now after writing your comments/answer you can
click on Post button. If you want to make sure whether your
posts looks exactly as you want or not you can click on the Preview
button.
